Initially trained as an architect Babetto soon fell completely involved with working the metal as a gold and silversmith. Making iconic jewelry since the 60's mainly in yellow or white gold, his aesthetic is either abstract or inspired by Italian renaissance and Mediterranean culture. Rich hues of mat pigment, bright shades of plexiglass and precious stones set in a spectacular way are typical in his work.
