Francesco Pavan

(IT,1937)

A master goldsmith and an example for generations. Francesco has thaught at the Istituto Statale d'Arte Pietro Selvatico Padova Italy. His workshop is filled with tools and engines he constructed himself out of necessity for what he wanted to achieve. Under his hammer metals do not do what they want but they do what he wants. Because he treats goldsmithing as a serious and precious art and has devoted his entire life with patience to his pieces. Only experienced people will see the impossibility of his work. Expect laborious constructions of different alloys, difficult glass and enamel works and extraordinary hammering all in minimal geometric shapes.
