A group show featuring works of the purest achievement in some techniques traditional in jewelry by artists from and living in different cultures.
January, back to life after holiday season and perhaps far away escapades in body or mind for some of us. A sad moment in the wake of this new year 2015 with a wake up call to what can go terribly wrong in our world when we turn ourselves to restrictions. We must go on with what is good and beautiful to fight the bad and the ugly !
End of January has been traditionally pinned on the annual calendar for the Haute Couture shows in Paris. Not to be considered as a waste of money for the elite only. Instead, a true celebration of craftsmen, various cultural traditions and most important of all : time on your hands ! Respect for those who allow us to continue to witness these miracles of achievement. For those who pursue perfection of their art in silence, anonymity and sometimes simple madness.
It is with this in mind that we compiled a group show of this title, Haute Couture, to exhibit works of the purest achievement in some techniques traditional in jewelry by artists from and living in different cultures.
